There are many reasons why people are looking for alternative ways to lower their dependence on fossil fuels. There’s the recent economic downturn and also the bigger issue of global warming. While technology to fully eradicate fossil fuel use in vehicles is more than two decades away, there are many options available today that can help us improve fuel economy and gas mileage in our vehicles.

One way to describe HAFC is to imagine your car as an electric generator. The generator uses fuel (in our case, petrol) in the engine to create energy. This energy is transported to the drive shaft and then down to the wheels. That is what that makes the car go.
HAFC technology extracts a hydrogen-oxygen mixture from water by ionizing it with electricity from the battery. This hydrogen-oxygen mixture is then added to your fuel before it is burned in the engine, making it burn more easily and powerfully. This energy rich gas (hydrogen-oxygen) is called Brown’s gas, and is a proven technology that is used in welding torches and plasma cutters.
Brown’s gas extracted from water enriches the fuel mixture, allowing you to pump less fuel into the engine but get the same if not greater amount of burn, thus improving your vehicle’s gas mileage.
The HAFC system also uses six powerful magnets to ionize the gasoline to produce smaller molecules that burn more rapidly and cleanly. It is often misconstrued that gas burns. Gas DOES NOT BURN. It is but the vapor that is on the surface of the gas that burns. Gasoline is made that way to lessen the chances of gas exploding. It is only when the fuel is to be burned that it is turned into a fine mist and pumped into the car’s combustion chamber. If this fine mist were to be turned actually into gas, and the components broken down to make it burn more, you will get a more explosive mixture, meaning more power, and less emissions, using less fuel. That is why cars that run on Liquefied Petroleum Gas are more economical, the fuel that reaches the engine is in gas form, easily burned and gives off less smoke.
Many studies have been made and claim that the HAFC system can produce gas savings of a minimum of 50%. This is a dramatic increase in mileage and fuel economy; though of course one can expect the savings to vary from vehicle to vehicle depending on the engine condition and the road usage the vehicle is subjected to.
The beauty of the HAFC System is that it will work on all existing gasoline-burning cars. And unlike conversions to LPG fuel, there will be no need for modifications, only added components that will not burden the car. It is also compatible with other emerging technologies such as Pre Ignition Catalytic Converter technology, which should be available to you soon.

In 1892 Rudolf Diesel invented what would become known as the diesel engine. This engine would forever change the automotive industry. The diesel engine is capable of functioning on modified vegetable oil or diesel fuel. In the United States crude oil is the most common ingredient in refined diesel fuel. Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) fuel was created to replace Low Sulfur Diesel (LSD) fuel.
Low Sulfur Diesel fuel contains a maximum of 500 parts per million (ppm) sulfur. Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel fuel contains less than 15 ppm. By 06/01/06 80% of the vehicles on the highway must be ULSD. By 12/01/2010 100% of vehicles on the highway must be ULSD. It has been estimated that almost all diesel fuel used in the USA will be ULSD by 2015.
Crude oil can be used to produce products such as heavy fuel oil, jet fuel, gasoline, heating oil and diesel fuel. Biodiesel is another fuel that is created using diesel fuel, vegetable oil and other ingredients. Biodiesel significantly reduces the emissions of carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon gases.
The United States transportation system could not function without diesel fuel. In 2007 highway vehicles used approximately 75% of the diesel fuel consumed in the US. diesel fuel is used in buses, boats, trains, delivery vehicles, semi trucks, farms and construction equipment. Off-highway equipment such as diesel motors used in military railroad and construction accounted for the remaining 25%.
The United States imported approximately 4.5% of its diesel fuel from foreign countries In 2007. Canada and the Virgin Islands were the major contributors. However 66% of the crude oil used to produce the diesel fuel was imported from foreign countries in 2007. After production most diesel fuel is transported either by rail, pipeline or barge from the refineries to gas stations across the country.
Due to increased demand and a decrease in production diesel fuel has cost more than gasoline since September of 2004. Worldwide demand for diesel fuel has steadily been increasing in Chine, Europe and the U.S. Production has suffered because of the transition to Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel fuel in the U.S. The Federal excise tax also contributes to the price difference. The tax for diesel is six cents higher than for gasoline.
Factors that contribute to price fluctuations include cost and supply of crude oil. As more countries become more modernized their demand for distillate fuels increases. The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) sets a maximum production limit on 40% of the world’s crude oil. OPEC controls approximately two-thirds of the world’s crude oil reserves. This means that international news effecting OPEC countriesmay have significant effects on the production of crude oil. Diminishing the supply while demand continues to skyrocket.

I recently sold my van on stumblehere.com. I was very surprised by this, thinking that since this was not a name of a website that I was familiar with. I was scared that I was wasting my money. Well I will be the first to tell you how wrong I was.
After posting my classified ad on craigslist, people were talking about stumblehere free classified ads. And how much traffic their ad syndication was bringing.
I did not want to listen to some sales speach about how stumblehere was a place to sell my stuff. The last thing I wanted to do was post more ads.
I finally gave in to he had to say. He told me he was calling for a website that I hadn’t heard of before. He told me that this listing website was unlike craigslist in that they do something called ad syndication. Meaning that what they do is they send out my posting that I put together on their site to many others.
So I went to the stumblehere.com website and posted a classified ad. I then upgraded it to make it a featured ad on their site and added ad syndication. I wanted to get my ad on as many websites as possible.
Well I will only use Stumblehere from here on. I found the most success that I have ever had posting with Stumblehere than ever before. My representative said it would take from 24 to 48 hours for all the added postings to places on other sites. Well I had so many calls on my van I was able to sell it for the amount I wanted and needed. Stumblehere and their option Betterpost have a customer for life.

Despite the price of crude oil going down in price in the world market, there is still the issue of the world economic slowdown to be concerned about. Any amount of savings is welcome in these uncertain times, and one item in particular stands out when looking for ways to cut costs - the cost of gasoline. There are newly developed bio fuels, home made bio diesel, bio diesel conversions kits, and some which are not so well-known such as Hydro Assist Fuel Cells, and one other promising technology that has been in existence for a long time but is now only getting noticed is Pre-Ignition Catalytic Converter (PICC) technology.
Still in the early stages of development for mass production PICC is thought to get your car up to five times the gas mileage it is rated for.
In truth this is an old technology being used in a new way. Every factory made car has a Catalytic Converter, but is installed post ignition. It is installed in the car’s emission system and is used to break down gas that is left un-burnt in the engine. The catalytic converter breaks the gas molecules into smaller particles that can then be incinerated in the tailpipe before being released.
PICC technology aims to use this system in reverse, breaking down the gas into smaller particles before sending it to the engine. The theory is that because the fuel is broken down before it reaches the engine, a more efficient burn will occur. That is, theoretically, how the PICC will work.
How can fuel savings be achieved, and how much?
PICC is seen by researchers to compliment modern fuel injection technology introduced by car manufacturers. Fuel injectors control the entry of just the right amount of fuel into the combustion engine improving a car’s fuel consumption. Adding the PICC system means less fuel is needed to output generate the same amount of power from the engine.
In one scientific test conducted by researchers, a large 318 V-8 Chrysler engine was run on a dynamometer at 3,000rpms under a 50% load for an hour. This is the same testing equipment and conditions Detroit uses. In the control test, the engine used 18 pounds of fuel, which when converted approximates 22 mpg. On the second run the researchers ran engine with PICC modification under the exact same conditions for another hour. In a very surprising result, the engine was found to have used only 2 pounds of fuel, a 9-fold increase in efficiency totaling a staggering 200 m per gallon.
Even in these early developmental stages, PICC is showing a lot of promise. For the regular consumer it means more savings and funds for other expenses. For the world, it means reduction in greenhouse gases. And for America, it means less dependence on foreign oil.

Today, many technologies exist to help you increase fuel savings and increase gas mileage. Some are pretty obvious, like keep your car in tip-top shape. What is HAFC?

What is PICC?
The Pre-Ignition Catalytic Converter or PICC system is a relatively old technology, which is being revisited and being used in a new novel way. PICC is an experimental system that even in its developmental stage promises to increase gas mileage by 5 times.
