Discovering the Acura TSX: More Than You Expect

The introduction of the 2009 Acura TSX is making even the most demanding car shoppers sit back and admire. The latest model of the Acura TSX, available as of April 2008, is definitely the latest and greatest in a line of great vehicles by Acura. In 2009, the Acura TSX is expected to receive Honda’s 2.2-litre i-DTEC clean turbo diesel engine. This engine is equipped with an advanced Nox emissions reduction system, which will make the Acura TSX even more environmentally friendly. The i-DTEC engine when used in the 2009 Acura TSX will require no urea additives to meet emission standards.

Both engine options for the 2009 Acura TSX (the 2.4 liter engine and the i-DTEC engine) will offer both 5 speed automatic and 6 speed manual transmission options. And the automatic transmission will come with the added benefit of steering wheel paddle shifters enabling optional manual shifting.

During the process of redesigning the Acura TSX for 2009, its size was increased. The 3 inch width increase will allow drivers to increase stability and control with their 2009 Acura TSX. This means that the vehicle will offer a 2.6 inch wider track and a 1.3 inch longer wheelbase in comparison to previous models. The 2009 Acura TSX will also have its length increased by 2.4 inches.

The new 2009 Acura TSX will of course be equipped with the standard luxury features expected from Acura, but in addition Acura has added a USB port music interface and will have an optional technology package, which includes a navigation system real-time traffic and weather, and a 10-speaker premium sound system with DVD-audio capabilities. Also making an appearance on the new TSX is Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure, which is designed to reduce accident impact on passengers.

Drivers and passengers of the 2009 Acura TSX will also enjoy a power moon roof, 17-inch alloy wheels, Xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights, heated front seats, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, satellite radio and HandsFreeLink (Bluetooth) wireless connectivity; a navigation system with voice activation is optional.
